TEXT: “The Human Experience”
They say, “No pain, no gain.” But what price should one pay to make a dream come true in the distant future? What does it mean to be truly happy, not later but now?
The possible paths in life are many. One person enjoys peace. Another loves to argue. Some desire fame and money, but others want only approval. There are those who need adventure after adventure. In short, what you find necessary, I may not. However, the human experience is basically the same.
The key is to develop a healthy sense of self-love. Can we search within ourselves and be honest about what we discover? That kind of examination takes courage. But that kind of honesty will help us improve what we can and accept what we can’t.
It may very well be that our happiness increases when we learn to respect ourselves more and show greater kindness toward others, who, by the way, are likely going through the same struggle we are.
